Určitě ještě pamatuje na doby, kdy se vaše mailové schránky plnily zprávami, typicky žádostmi o půjčku, která někomu pomůže dostat se k pohádkovému dědictví a ze kterého vy získáte podíl. V různých variacích jich kolovalo mnoho a bylo poměrně snadné je odhalit, byť na ně přesto naletěla obrovská spousta důvěřivců. Doba ale pokročila a dnešní podvody už jsou trochu sofistikovanější, e-maily propracovanější (byť úroveň angličtiny má k ideálu stále daleko) a pracující kupříkladu přímo s předmětem podnikání zamýšlené oběti. A tak dnes i vinařům z ČR v míře nemalé chodí e-maily, které rozesílá jistý Gabriel Dawney, a žádá je o kalkulaci pro návštěvu a degustaci vín členy privátního vinného klubu z Velké Británie. Vinař, který odepíše, obdrží další dopis s žádostí o doplňující informace a popisem operace s šekem pro údajnou společnost, která jim má u nás zajišťovat kompletní servis. Thanks for your reply. I am glad to tell you that we have concluded with my colleagues regarding your offer and we wish to proceed with the visit.
Meanwhile, I will need a little assistance from you because we got a direct sponsorship for this trip and now our sponsor wants to pay for all our expenses in advance.
We have also made arrangement with a prepaid logistic firm who will provide us with car hire services, flight tickets, and other ground logistics that we will use during our stay in your country though we have not yet concluded with them.
